Principal Investigator

	Professor Yoke Khin Yap Professor Yap is interested on the fundamental of synthesis, characterization, and device applications of advanced materials including boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), ZnO nanostructures, energy harvesting (piezoelectric, thermoelectric, photovoltaic, bio-fuel, etc.) materials, wide band-gap semiconductors (AlN, GaN, ZnO), and quantum dots. He has edited a book and multiple MRS proceedings, published eight book and encyclopedia chapters, and more than 100 peer-reviewed articles. Fellowships and Honors

2010	A Task force member and sub-group leader of the Materials Research Society (MRS) to provide input to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) for the development of a revised Strategic Plan for the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI).
