MTU Open House Fall 2004

The open house had a record attendance again. The Physics booth at the expo had several demonstrations, assisted by physics majors Adam DeConinck and Robert Pease. Interested students and their families talked to Dept. Chair Dr. Ravi Pandey and Assistant Professor of Physics Dr. Will Cantrell about opportunities in the physics program.

Afternoon tours of the physics labs were very popular. Visitors learned about introductory physics labs, night sky observing, and nanotechnology. Afternoon tour guides and presenters were Adam, Robert, Dan Cordell, Dr. Bob Nemiroff, Lior Shamir, Vic Muzzin, Matt Merlo, Tilvi, Dr. Yoke Khin Yap, and Vijaya Kayastha.
