Tenure-Track Faculty Position for Fall 2012The Department of Physics at Michigan Technological University (MTU) seeks a candidate to fill a faculty position at the tenure-track Assistant Professor or higher level starting Fall 2012. Preference will be given to applicants with research and educational interests in (i) molecular biophysics-theory, simulation, or experiment, (ii) theory and modeling of photonic systems and structures, or (iii) experimental single molecule transport and spectroscopy. Exceptional candidates in other areas that complement ongoing departmental research will also be considered. Required qualifications include a PhD in Physics or closely related field, postdoctoral experience, a record of substantive research, and good teaching skills.
