Course Description:
Students meet 2 hours per week with 4 to 6 team members concurrently
taking the same introductory physics course. Students work with a professional
physics coach to learn the team approach to physics-problem solving.
Benefits students looking for help with demanding courses and who desire
experience in team problem solving.
Graded pass/fail.
Credits do not count toward graduation
May be repeated for a maximum of 3 credits.
Prerequisite: permission of instructor; corequisite: PH2100 or PH2200.
Syllabus:
Students meet as a team weekly for two hours with coach to discuss
questions and problems prepared by the students in advance.
Course Rationale:
Many students find the benefit of additional work in introductory
physics to be helpful. This course provides a forum to provide
additional help using a team approach. The formal setting as a
course provides the students with additional motivation to attend
and get the full benefit.
